The Program consists of a Joint Fellows’ Reception, a Saturday Orientation session, mandatory two-day sessions each month, for ten months (February – November), typically the first Thursday and Friday of the month, from 7:30AM – 8:30PM on Thursday and 7:45AM – 5:45PM on Friday, and a Graduation ceremony. Additionally, each Fellow will be expected to attend at least two cultural events throughout the year. Dates are provided in advance for consideration and selection.
Sessions will be conducted in all three counties, but will be held primarily in New Castle County corporate and professional boardrooms. Elective events will be available. Spouses and significant others are not included in sessions, but are often invited to elective events.
Attendance is mandatory for successful completion of the Program. Absence from more than one full session, 23 hours (or the accumulation of partial sessions and events which add up to 23 hours) will make the participant ineligible to graduate, and he/she will be excused from the Program.
Fellows are also required to complete several small group research projects over the course of the year. Research may include reading books, interviews, or other formats which will require additional time outside of the class schedule.
As with all worthwhile endeavors, this Program requires a definite commitment of time from each participant. Failure by a Fellow to fully participant in all three group research projects will result in that Fellow’s dismissal from the Program.
Tuition for our 2020 program is $5,775. Leadership Delaware does not offer scholarships; however, we offer an installment payment option. Additionally, coaching for tuition fundraising will be provided if needed.
