The Late Meredith Sullivan (Chapman)
Meredith Sullivan (Chapman), a native Delawarean, was a seasoned communications strategist with 10+ years of experience spanning various industries from government to education. She worked at Villanova University and the University of Delaware where she specialized in social media.
She was nationally recognized for her accomplishments and was named a top Social Media Professional for 2011 by PR News in addition to being in the inaugural 2014 class for the Delaware Business Times “40 Under 40.”
Prior to working in higher education, Meredith began her career in television as a reporter and producer at WHYY-TV, a Philadelphia-based PBS affiliate. She then translated her journalism skills to public relations and went to work on Capitol Hill as a communication manager in the U.S. House of Representatives for then-Congressman Mike Castle-expanding into the online and social media sphere. After six years in news and politics, Meredith ended up back at the University of Delaware, where she had earned a bachelor’s degree in communication and geography and is nearing completion of her master’s degree in educational technology.
Meredith was an active member of the community where she served on various boards and committees, as well as being involved with several campaigns.
