
Brittany Hazzard, Ed.D. Founder of LifeCHAMPS
Dr. Brittany Hazzard is a Delaware native who has a passion to lead. Most recently, in May 2016, Brittany earned her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University. She graduated from Sussex Technical High School in 2004, and on a full athletic scholarship earned her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from University of Maryland-Eastern Shore in 2008 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She then began her Master’s degree and graduated from Delaware State University with her Master of Social Work in 2010. Brittany has continued her leadership roles within different public schools and nonprofit organizations including mental and behavioral health organizations and faith-based organizations such as Delaware Guidance Services, Children and Families First Delaware, Restoration Worship Center, and IMPACT Leadership. She has been a mental health therapist with DGS Intensive Outpatient Program for over 6 years providing individual, group and family therapy in the community and has also held the position of Community Interventionist coordinator. Brittany is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. As someone who is passionate about the empowerment of youth and their families, Brittany along with her husband coordinate and facilitate Virtue & Valor, a community youth program. She is also co-chair of the Sussex County Health Coalition’s Behavior Health Task Group. Brittany lives in Millsboro with her husband, Reggie, and twin daughters, Rylie and Re’gan.
