Kim Lopez TeenSHARP

As the Senior Director for TeenSHARP, Kim manages partnerships with the Delaware Department of Education, various high schools across the state, and college admissions offices across the country. TeenSHARP’s mission is to prepare talented low-income, African American, and Latinx students to attend and thrive at our nation’s top colleges. As a first-generation to college student, she is highly invested in this work. Kim has presented at many conferences on the topics of undocumented students, first-generation to college students, and navigating the selective admissions process. In 2019, she was named one of the Potomac & Chesapeake Association for College Admission Counseling (PCACAC) Counselors of the year. Prior to joining TeenSHARP, Kim served as an Associate Director of Admissions under the Equity and Access team at the University of Pennsylvania. In this role, she worked with students in various states and countries while also serving as the liaison for undocumented students and The Center for Hispanic Excellence: La Casa Latina. While working at Penn, she earned her Masters of Science in Social Policy. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Kim lives in Middletown with her husband Juan and three fur babies, Chavo, Kiko, and Bullwinkle.
