Nickolas Martin Carbon Reform, Inc.

Nick Martin is the co-founder of Carbon Reform, Inc., a Delaware-based startup designing a carbon dioxide capture solution for the commercial heating industry. A local to Norwood, Massachusetts, Nick left his hometown to pursue a degree in chemical engineering at the University of Delaware. During his studies he became actively involved in K-12 STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math)
education, specifically for underserved populations. This led to him volunteering with, and now serving on the board for, Fouryouth Productions, a Wilmington-based nonprofit teaching photography in combination with science, engineering, and cooking to underserved youth. His focus on marginalized communities has brought him to his current consulting work for the Delaware Division of Libraries. He is working to address the digital divide and bring more emerging technology to public libraries, including artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and telehealth. Nick is an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and is focused on providing opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community to be better connected to Delaware business and government. In his spare time, Nick loves eating at new restaurants and cafes,
listening to podcasts, and playing the saxophone.
