Amy Walls Discover Bank

Amy Walls is the Principal, Community Reinvestment for Discover Bank. In the position Amy manages community development activities including managing the bank’s charitable giving in Delaware, providing technical assistance to non-profits, coordinating volunteer initiatives, and supporting CRA investments and community development loans, totaling over $100 million annually in the mid-Atlantic region.

Amy is active with a number of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). She serves on the Board of Directors of NCALL, where she chairs the loan fund committee, and as a member of Cinnaire’s New Markets Tax Credit Advisory Committee. Amy is also a board member of Philanthropy Delaware, Easter Seals of Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Diamond State Community Land Trust and the Leon N. Weiner Education Foundation. Amy is also a member of the Consumer Banker Association’s CRA Committee.

Amy was honored in 2013 with Housing Opportunities of North Delaware’s (HOND) Leon N. Weiner Fair Housing Award and in 2011 with the James H. Sills Jr. Leadership Award by the Delaware Community Reinvestment Action Council for her personal and organizational commitment to the state of Delaware and the council. Additionally, the bank was honored by the Consumer Bankers Association with their Joe Belew Award for Community Development in 2011, 2014 and 2018 for projects where Amy served in a leadership capacity.

Before coming to Discover Bank, Amy worked at a small retail bank and as the Economic Development Manager for the largest municipality within Sussex County, DE. Amy is a graduate of Salisbury University. She lives in Sussex County, Delaware.
