
Andrew Vierzba Delaware Air National Guard
Andrew Vierzba is the Director of Operations for the 166th Logistics Readiness Squadron in the Delaware Air National Guard based in New Castle. His unit supports the sustainment of personnel and equipment readiness for the range of logistics activities necessary to dynamically support state and federal operations.
In 2001, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft maintenance technician and was assigned to Dover Air Force Base maintaining C5A/B aircraft. During this time he was instrumental in troubleshooting, inspection, and repairing aircraft while beginning collegiate studies at Wesley College. He returned back to his hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin managing a warehouse in his family owned fastener company and completed a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Later in 2012, he accepted an opportunity with the Delaware Air National Guard directing aircraft production. His time includes deploying as the senior enlisted leader working directly with the Iraqi Air Force as an Air Advisor on aircraft maintenance practices and processes. After completing his MSM at Wilmington University in 2016, he received a commission with his current assignment.
He lives in Dover with his wife Lorraine and his daughter Clarice.
