Angeline Rivello Principal / Charter School of Wilmington

Angeline is proud to be the Principal of the number one high school in Delaware, The Charter School of Wilmington. She is a Delaware native who attended the University of Delaware, where she studied to be an educator specializing in mathematics and special education.

She served as an Associate Secretary at the Delaware Department of Education, overseeing efforts focused on educator preparation, licensure/certification, recruitment, placement, evaluation, professional learning, educator investigations, retention and compensation.

Angeline began teaching in September of 1995 in southern New Jersey at Middletownship Middle School serving high need students. This is where and when she decided to dedicate her life to helping children receive an excellent education. In 2001, she graduated from Rowan University with a Master’s
Degree in Educational Leadership. The next eight years she spent serving as an assistant principal and principal in New Jersey, Florida, and New Hampshire.

She returned to her home state of Delaware to serve as the head of Human Resources in Red Clay Consolidated School District. In 2012, she answered the call to serve at the state level as a Director for the Delaware Department of Education. In this role, she focused on providing support to all school
districts and charter schools for educator effectiveness practices with an end goal of increased student achievement.

Angeline lives in Middletown with her husband Joe and their Golden Retriever, Cooper. Her father lives in Newark. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, running, hiking, dog agility, volunteering, and traveling.
