
Brenda A. M. Wise State of Delaware – Office of Management and Budget
Brenda A. M. Wise is an attorney with experience in litigation, court administration and statewide policy implementation. Her legal career began as an employment defense attorney in Philadelphia, PA. Once leaving the practice of law, she spent time in Washington, D.C. as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University in the School of Continuing Studies. Upon returning to her home state, she was tasked with the development and implementation of Delaware’s first DUI Treatment Court by the Chief Judge of the Court of Common Pleas. Her passion for criminal justice reform led her to the Administrative Office of the Courts. During this time, under the direction of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, she created Delaware’s first Community Court, Delaware’s Best Practice Standards for Problem-Solving Courts, the Problem-Solving Courts Benchbook and numerous statewide policies focused on alternatives to incarceration. She currently serves the State of Delaware as the Director of Policy and Communications for the Office of Management and Budget.
