Linwood served 4 years as President, and 4 years as Secretary of the NAACP Delaware State Conference.

As President he worked with the ACLU Delaware and successfully reached a settlement with the State of Delaware in their education equity lawsuit. This agreement will allocate resources for Delaware children who are low income, students with disabilities, and students who are English learners, to provide equal education opportunities for disadvantaged students within Delaware's public school system.

A TV and Radio host, Linwood has spoken before hundreds of audiences on a wide range of issues including; The steps of the U.S. Supreme Court about Abolishing the Death Penalty, the Governors round table about Decriminalizing & Medical Cannabis, the Environmental Protection Agency on Emissions, and Clean Air, the National Press Club on Going Green, and the AARP De on voting rights and fraud issues.

Linwood recognizes the importance of volunteerism and has served in many capacities; He currently serves as the AARP De Lead Communications Volunteer, V.P. NAACP Wilmington branch, V.P. Delaware Press Association, and on the board of the Wilmington Drama League.
