Charles Stanton III Group Manager, Adesis

Charles John Stanton III, Ph.D. is a Group Manager at Adesis, a position held since 2020. Charles joined Adesis in 2016, and his research experience spans both academic and industrial laboratories. As an innovative People Leader, Charles has over twenty years of experience in the Scientific Industry, and he strives to build strong Teams capable of solving complex problems. His current research group is focused on the design and synthesis of organometallic materials that are used in the production of organic light emitting devices (OLED) for our parent company, Universal Display. A recent transplant to Delaware (2016), he is committed to mentoring and developing future scientific problem solvers and leaders in the First State.

Charles has a Ph.D. in organic/organometallic chemistry (University of Georgia, 2016) where his research was focused on the development and synthesis of novel CO2 conversion catalysts. At the time, Charles' research led to several CO2 reduction catalysts which are among the most promising and cheapest to date. Charles has authored several manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and is a co-inventor on over 15 patents. Before his career at Adesis, Charles was a successful medicinal chemist at Wyeth Research (Princeton, NJ).

Charles lives in North Wilmington with his wife and three kids. He enjoys attending his kids' various sporting events, playing pickleball, and adding to his extensive vinyl collection in his spare time.
