Daniel J. MacLeish Delaware National Guard
Dan MacLeish graduated from Caesar Rodney High School and went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Widener University, and his Masters in Homeland Security from Wilmington University. He was commissioned as a Military Police Officer in 2008 and has been a full-time member of the Delaware Army National Guard since 2010. Dan has held multiple positions, including Platoon Leader, Company Commander, and most recently Aide-de-camp to the Adjutant General of the Delaware National Guard. In his current assignment, he serves as a Brigade Personnel Officer, overseeing the human resources support for over 800 Soldiers. Dan completed a nine month combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2013 and has directly served the citizens of Delaware during times of emergency in support of Domestic Response Missions on many occasions.
Dan is passionate about working with youth and helping them achieve their full potential. He serves as a coach in multiple youth sports leagues. In addition to his regular duties, Dan volunteers his time serving as an instructor in the Delaware National Guard Leadership Academy and as a Board Member for the National Guard Association of Delaware. Dan lives in Middletown with his wonderful wife and their three children.
