Eric M. Anderson Sussex Academy
Eric, a native Delawarean, has had a passion for leadership since being elected president of William Penn High School’s 2001 graduating class. Featured twice in Delaware Today magazine, first in December 1999 and again in April 2002, as one of the top Delawareans to watch in the future, Eric has pursued several endeavors. In 2005, Eric graduated with his BA from the University of Delaware and has been fulfilling his passion in education. He was a math teacher at the prestigious Charter School of Wilmington, and is now the Vice President. In May 2010, Eric was elected the youngest member ever to the Christina School District School Board, beating out his opponent, a 30-year incumbent. In July 2011, after serving his first term on the board, Eric was elected Board President. Eric stepped down from the Christina School Board in June 2012, to serve on the Charter School of Wilmington Board, where he was elected as a faculty representative. Eric resides in Wilmington, Delaware, and has recently completed his Master’s in Education from Columbia University.
