James Thomas Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children
James Thomas Serves as the Director of Nursing at Main Line Health. In his role, he oversees the operations of the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit and ensures the delivery of exceptional patient care and the achievement of departmental goals. Prior to this role, James served as the Nurse Manager of Emergency Services at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. In this role, he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the only Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center and Level 1 Pediatric Emergency Department in the State of Delaware. As a leader, James is interested in initiatives to improve employee recognition and retention as well as reducing inefficiency in the broader healthcare system.
James is a graduate of Wilmington University where he obtained his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a focus in Health Care Administration and Leadership. In addition to his DNP, James has obtained an MSN from Drexel University and BSN from Widener University. James currently resides in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania with his wife and children.
