Jay Greenspan, MD, MBA, is Chief Executive of Nemours Delaware Valley Operations. He is a member of the Executive Cabinet reporting to Nemours President and Chief Executive Officer R. Lawrence Moss, MD. Dr. Greenspan is based in Wilmington, Del.

He is responsible for all clinical operations at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and Nemours duPont Pediatrics including ambulatory surgery centers and all primary, specialty and urgent care practices, and prevention efforts in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland.

Dr. Greenspan is a neonatologist. He received his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University, and his training in pediatrics and neonatal perinatal medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He completed his MBA at Capella University.

Dr. Greenspan previously served as chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, and Robert L. Brent Professor and Chairman, Department of Pediatrics, Nemours/Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. During this time, his research interests included neonatal pulmonary function, development and treatment, neonatal abstinence syndrome, and he was involved in research on the prevention of preterm birth, health care reform and the medical home.
