Kelley Kovatis

Kelley Kovatis Physician, ChristianaCare

Dr. Kelley Kovatis is a board-certified pediatrician and neonatologist. She is an assistant professor of Pediatrics at Jefferson University and serves as the associate director of research within the division of Neonatology at Christiana Care. She has presented and published extensively on how clinical interventions impact the breathing of premature and critically ill infants with the hope that this research will improve care and long-term outcomes. She serves as a clinical and research mentor to trainees and acts as a lead Neonatal Resuscitation Program facilitator responsible for teaching delivery room stabilization to medical professions throughout the region. Dr. Kovatis earned a BS in Neuroscience at Washington and Lee University and a MD at Temple University School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Virginia Health System and her Neonatology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Kovatis resides in Philadelphia with her husband and 3 young children and can often be found exercising during the early morning hours.
