Kenan J. Sklenar currently serves as the President/CEO of Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore since November 2013.  For 18 years he was the President & CEO of Easterseals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties in Youngtown, Ohio.  He has a Master's of Science in Hospital and Healthcare Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is a Diplomate (Board Certified Health Executive) in the American College of Healthcare Executives with over 30 years in the field including hospital and home care administration experience prior to Easterseals.   Ken’s responsibilities include all operational, budgetary and program development for Easterseals.

Ken is the past chair for the Easterseals Affiliate Leadership Network serving as a liaison with national Easterseals.  He also served as the Mideast Regional Leader for the organization.

Ken became a surveyor for the Rehabilitation Accreditation Commission (CARF) in 1998 and completes several surveys each year.  He currently serves on the University of Delaware’s Advisory Board for the College of Health Sciences and is a past board member of the Ability Network of Delaware.

Ken has been active as a volunteer for many organizations including the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross, Boardman Rotary and Mahoning Valley Hospital.  He also served as an adjunct faculty member at Ohio University and National College.

Ken now lives in Delaware with his wife, Kathy, and their youngest son.  They also have two children who live in Ohio.
