Mark Smyth Chase

Mark Smyth is a native Pennsylvanian and current Pennsylvania resident who spent his formative years growing up and studying in Delaware. He has worked in Delaware for 15 years. Mark attended high school in Wilmington and completed his BS in Political Science at the University of Delaware in 2006. During his undergraduate studies, Mark earned valuable retail experience working full-time as a produce clerk with the Kenny Family Shop-Rite supermarket chain in Newark and Wilmington. Post-graduation, Mark began his career in business as a Business Analyst in Mortgage Banking. Initially, Mark worked for Wilmington Finance, a subsidiary of AIG in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania before joining ING Direct in Wilmington, Delaware in 2007. During his time at ING Direct, Mark helped lead the wholesale lending division through a loan origination system replacement project initially as a Senior Business Analyst then as a Project Manager. The project spanned three years and led to significant operational cost reduction in addition to improving loan submission quality.
Mark joined CSC in Wilmington, Delaware in 2011 as a Program Manager in the Digital Brand Services business division. Since joining the CSC, Mark has led efforts to reduce direct vendor spending by 1 million USD annually. He has moved into a leadership role where he manages an operations team with 25+ direct reports located both in Wilmington and in Singapore. Mark also leads an international “Icebreakers Team” at CSC that is dedicated to improving teamwork through community engagement in each of the ten global Digital Brand Service offices. In his personal life, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife Megan, a high school guidance counselor and field hockey coach, and his daughter Cara.
