Michelle A. Taylor President and CEO/United Way of Delaware

Michelle A. Taylor, Ed.D., is President and Chief Executive Officer of United Way of Delaware (UWDE), one of the state’s largest non-profit community impact organizations, and is also responsible for the United Way
brand in Salem County, New Jersey.

She leads the implementation of UWDE’s strategic vision for addressing Delaware’s most challenging social issues as they relate to Early Education Success, College and Career Readiness, and Financial Stability and in doing so, works through a collective impact model to engage a wide range of community-based, government, business and other partner organizations. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Taylor has executive responsibility for all aspects of UWDE’s administration and operations, including strategic planning, fundraising, community and agency relations, marketing, community impact and engagement, finance, human resources, public policy, and board administration.

A career non-profit professional, Dr. Taylor holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Morgan State University,
an MBA from Wilmington University, and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership, also from Wilmington
University. She is a board member of several nonprofit and professional organizations. She values networking and works tirelessly to leverage UWDE’s community presence, through a wide range of partnerships and relationships.
