Michelle M. Wall Make-A-Wish, Delaware
Michelle Myers Wall has proudly called Delaware her home for the last ten years. She graduated from James Madison University (JMU) with a degree in Political Science and Political Communications. While at JMU she participated in a Washington, D.C. Semester Program with an internship at NPR, Talk of the Nation. After graduating from JMU, Michelle was chosen to be a Virginia Governor’s Fellow. She then began her career at the Virginia Governor’s Office where she was selected as the program coordinator for the next class of Governor’s Fellows. Michelle also worked for North Carolina State University, the Raleigh News & Observer, and the Arizona Republic.
Currently, Michelle is the Community Relations Manager for Make-A-Wish Delaware. Michelle serves as an ambassador to educate both individuals and groups on the mission of Make-A-Wish to build the chapter’s capacity to grant a wish to every eligible child in the state of Delaware.
Michelle is an active volunteer for the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, where she was named 2014 MS Society Volunteer of the Year, she serves as a captain for an annual walk MS team “These Four Walls” and has chaired the chapter’s MSquerade Ball earning over $200,000 for the organization. She was elected to a five year term for the Appoquinimink School Board in 2015 and was named the 2016 National Mother of the Year by American Mothers, Inc. Michelle is a member of the GFWC Women’s Club of Odessa where she serves on the education committee. The Wilmington Jaycees recognized Michelle as their 2018 Outstanding Young Wilmingtonian for her continued efforts of serving the community.
Michelle resides in Historic Odessa with her family in a home that was built in 1847.
