Minda V. Thompson Statewide Problem-Solving Court Coordinator, Administrative Office of the Courts, State of Delaware

Minda V. Thompson, MSW, LSW, is currently serving the Judicial Branch of the State of Delaware as the Statewide Problem-Solving Court Coordinator. This role helps support Problem-Solving/Treatment Courts throughout the state, and combines several of Minda’s interests, including a desire to improve systems and assist people in addressing underlying issues that may have brought them into the criminal justice system. Prior to this role, she helped start Delaware’s first Community Court, which seeks to reduce crime and recidivism by addressing quality-of-life issues. She has also served in the areas of addiction, and foster care/adoption services.

As the daughter of immigrant parents, Minda was given the opportunity to live in New York and Delaware. She grew to appreciate her own heritage and help others relate cross-culturally. She is thankful for her educational experience at Padua Academy and loves being a Blue Hen alumnus, having earned her B.A. in Biology and Philosophy at the University of Delaware. She lived and worked in Philadelphia, and earned her MSW at Temple University before coming back to Delaware to partner with the Judicial Branch and care for family.

Minda is an active member of her church, and enjoys practicing her Wing Chun skills.
