Sarah Shepard is a native Delawarean, born and raised in New Castle County. Graduating from Mt. Sophia Academy, Sarah went on to pursue her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Delaware. She also completed the Heroic Leadership Program, a one year long commitment focusing on community outreach, ministry, and leadership development. Sarah started her career as an Administrator with the English Language Institute Homestay Program, partnering with the University to help foreign exchange students find host homes in the New Castle County area. Since 2017, Sarah has been with Placers Inc., a staffing firm based out of Newark and Milford, Delaware, where she is Program Leader for their largest account, overseeing fifteen sites in the area. In the last five years, Sarah has become a Certified Contingent Workforce Professional through S.I.A. and a Certified Temporary Staffing and Personnel Consultant through N.A.P.S. As a Placers leader, Sarah is passionate about bringing jobs to Delaware, and igniting the spark between business and next level talent. She regularly partners with a myriad of industry leaders, and acts as a consultant to businesses and a coach to the workforce.
She is an active part of the community, serving as a volunteer for nonprofit organizations in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex county including Preston’s March for Energy, 1 in 7b Foundation, Carasmark, and Fosterwell. Sarah currently resides in Newark with her husband Nick and 8-month old son, William. Her interests include health and fitness, travel, and spending time in nature with her family.
