Sergeant Sean Ryan is a 13 year veteran of the New Castle County Police Department and lifelong resident of New Castle County, Delaware. Sean is a current student at the University of Delaware and previous graduate of St. Mark's High School. Sean currently serves in the Use of Force Review Unit at the New Castle County Police Department and has previously served in the Patrol Division as well as the Special Operations Division as a Mobile Enforcement Team Member as well as an undercover detective working in the Drug Control Squad.

Sean is a certified police instructor and has provided instruction in Police Use of Force, 4th Amendment - Search and Seizure, De-Escalation, Control Tactics, and Drug Identification to Law Enforcement Personnel. Sean currently serves in the Professional Development Unit- Use of Force Review Unit which is responsible for reviewing Use of Force incidents for the New Castle County Division of Police and determining if within policy and identifying training issues and possible trends within the Divison.

Sean currently resides in Middletown, DE with his wife, Joelle, and daughter, Eleanor.
