Shannon Jost, PHR Wilmington University

Shannon Jost is a native of Stamford, Connecticut but considers Delaware her home. Her career started as an Admissions Counselor at Ferrum College in Virginia which is also her Alma Mater. There she obtained her B.S. Degree in Recreation Leadership. Shannon was an all-conference, all-state and all-regional softball player, and in 2016 was inducted into Ferrum College’s Sports Hall of Fame. After her time at Ferrum, Shannon dedicated herself to being a stay at home mother for six years with her two children. Upon her return to the work force, Shannon accepted a position at MacIntosh Engineering as Administrative Assistant and shortly thereafter she was promoted to the Director of Human Resources and obtained her Professional Human Resources Certification in 2009.

Shannon currently works at Wilmington University as a Work-Integrated Learning Specialist, where she works directly with the Co-Operative Education and Internship program.

Shannon serves on the board for Urban Bike Project as well as the Alumni Board at Ferrum College. She is a big sister in the Big Brother, Big Sister Program and created and hosts “Dewey Dunk” a fundraiser at the Starboard Restaurant every August to help raise money to help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis.
