
Sheila Bravo, Ph.D. President & CEO, Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA)
Sheila Bravo is President and CEO of DANA, a nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to strengthen, enhance, and advance nonprofits and the nonprofit sector in Delaware through advocacy, training, capacity building, and research.
Sheila joined DANA in 2015 after serving as Executive Director of the Rehoboth Art League, a Delaware arts education nonprofit. Prior to that, she provided board training, strategic planning, new product development and marketing consulting to small businesses, nonprofits and faith-based organizations. During this time, she served as an adjunct professor in higher education with Cedar Crest College, DeSales University, Executive MBA program and Wilmington University.
She began her career in advertising, then held several marketing leadership positions, innovating for global consumer brands such as Vlasic Pickles, Godiva Chocolatier, Pyrex Bakeware, Corningware Ovenware and Corelle Dinnerware. Throughout her time, she was an active volunteer, and valued the passion and purpose of the many nonprofits in which she worked. Her interests in nonprofits, led her to pursue a doctorate in leadership, specializing in non-profit governance.
Bravo has a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, an MBA in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BS in Business and Languages from Millersville University.
