Theodore J. Lauzen, Esq. Grey Fox Wealth Advisors
After graduating magna cum laude from Duke University in 2007, Ted served as an officer and a combat helicopter pilot for the United States Marine Corps. While deployed, he flew more than 230 combat flight hours, executed 127 combat missions, and provided close air support for American and international ground forces throughout the volatile Helmand Province of Afghanistan.
After returning home, Ted earned the opportunity to compete as a modern pentathlete for Team USA. The modern pentathlon is an Olympic sport that consists of five events completed on one day: swimming, fencing, horseback riding, shooting, and running. He placed 14th in the Men’s Relay at the 2015 World Championships in Berlin, competed in several World Cups around the world, and was selected as an Olympic Training Partner for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
After his time on Team USA, Ted interned as a healthcare investment banker at Goldman Sachs and attended the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Law and The Wharton School) to earn his JD/MBA. At Penn, he focused his academic efforts in the areas of corporate law, business management, and entrepreneurship.
Currently, Ted is the Managing Partner of Grey Fox Wealth Advisors – a Delaware-focused opportunity zone fund. He and his partner raise capital from around the country to invest exclusively in local Delaware neighborhoods.
Ted is happily married to Sarah Burris and has three young children: Caroline, Jack, and Emily. He and his family live in Wilmington, Delaware.
