Atnre Alleyne Delaware Campaign for Achievement Now (CAN)

Atnre Alleyne is the founding Executive Director of the Delaware Campaign for Achievement Now (CAN). CAN is part of the national 50-State Campaign for Achievement Now network and uses research, grassroots organizing, and legislative engagement to ensure Delaware’s education system is excellent for every student. Prior to launching CAN, Atnre was the Director of Talent Management at the Delaware Department of Education where he led policy and research efforts pertaining to teacher and leader effectiveness. Atnre is the co-founder of TeenSHARP, an organization that prepares students of color in Delaware, Philadelphia, and New Jersey for top colleges. He has worked in the private sector at international polling and consulting firm, The Gallup Organization, and human resources consulting firm, Hay Group. He holds a BA in economics and a MPA degree from Rutgers University-Camden. He also holds and an MA in political science from the University of Delaware. He was named an American Graduate Champion by WHYY in 2016 and is a 2013 recipient of the Association of American Colleges and Universities annual K. Patricia Cross Future Leaders of Higher Education Award. Atnre lives in Wilmington with his wife, Tatiana, and daughter, Zoryana.
