Mission and Vision
The vision of LDI is to ensure that Delaware has strong and diverse leadership now and into the future by empowering Fellows to achieve the highest levels of impact throughout the First State.
The mission of Leadership Delaware, Inc. is to recruit and mentor the best and brightest outstanding Delawareans, who can and will transform their communities and the state.
We bring our mission and vision to life via three focuses:
1. Leadership Immersion
Leadership Delaware’s year-long fellowship program offers emerging leaders a unique opportunity for deep leadership immersion. The program consists of 2-day monthly sessions that focus on timely topics and key business sectors in Delaware. Fellows hear directly from the state’s top leaders, gaining valuable insights into real-world challenges and opportunities. This hands-on approach equips participants with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to lead effectively and make positive change in our state.
2. Professional Development
The Leadership Development Series is a key offering from Leadership Delaware, designed for professionals of all ages who are looking to sharpen their leadership skills for both personal and professional growth. Each module provides practical tools and strategies that help participants enhance their leadership abilities, empowering them to lead with confidence and make a lasting impact within their organizations and communities.
3. Community Impact
Leadership Delaware is deeply committed to making a lasting impact on the community. We empower individuals to become proactive leaders who address critical issues facing Delaware. Our fellows and alumni contribute their time, expertise, and resources to local organizations, driving meaningful change and fostering a culture of collaboration. By developing strong, community-minded leaders, we ensure that Delaware’s future is shaped by individuals dedicated to improving the lives of those around them.
