Alison Travers, Ed.D. UD, Delaware Academy for School Leadership

Alison Travers, Ed.D., is a Leadership Associate in the Delaware Academy for School Leadership (DASL), a professional development, policy, and research center in the University of Delaware’s College of Education and Human Development. Alison is the Program Manager for the University of Delaware Principal Preparation Program and leads DASL’s national partnerships with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and the School Superintendents Association (AASA).

Alison completed her doctoral studies in K-12 Educational Leadership in 2020. Her doctoral research focused on leveraging emotional intelligence for effective leadership. Alison obtained a Masters’ of Public Administration degree with a focus on Organizational Leadership & Education Policy in 2010 and a Project Management Certificate in May 2012. She completed a year of public service with Public Allies Delaware, an AmeriCorps program, leading youth volunteer programming for Sussex County Habitat for Humanity, after completing her Bachelors’ degree in 2007.

Alison is an active member of the Sussex County community, and lives in Seaford with her husband and their four daughters.
