Kim Hoey Stevenson Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley
Kim Hoey Stevenson is a nationally recognized award winning writer and journalist who specializes in feature writing, especially taking complex subjects and presenting them in an approachable manner. She writes for such publications and AOL, Daily Finance, PARADE Magazine and The News Journal. She travels extensively both personally and professionally. Most notably, she was in Somalia during Operation Restore Hope to cover the change over from US to United Nations forces and what Delawareans were doing as part of those efforts.
A graduate of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale and Wake Forest University, Kim used her degree in psychology to help co-author the book, “Overcoming Misfortune: Children Who Beat the Odds,” a book that explored the positive side of psychology. She was the Delaware Young Mother of the Year for 2013, serves on the national board of American Mothers, Inc., is a chair of the Delaware Association of Mothers and is co-leader of a life group at her church.
