Alana King, a lifelong Delawarean, graduated from the Delaware Tech Community College Terry Campus in 2002 with an associate's degree in nursing. In continuing her education, Alana obtained her Master's Degree in Nursing in 2009 from Wesley College. Alana currently works at Bayhealth Medical Center, where she has been for 23 years. Her focus is human resources and staff retention, through which she has been involved in and led projects that not only allow the organization to capture top healthcare talent but also produce successful outcomes to retain them. Alana works to ensure leaders have the resources and knowledge to lead their team to excellence. In addition to her professional endeavors, Alana has a passion for outreach to those with food insecurities through her community ties in the cities of Dover and Smyrna. Working with local churches and organizations such as the Smyrna Fire Company, Order of the Eastern Star, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Theta Zeta Zeta Chapter, and in partnership with other community leaders, Alana thrives upon working to enhance the lives of Delawareans by creating, supporting, and partnering in opportunities to aide in community development and unification.
