Brian V. DeMott was born in Seaford, Delaware in 1989. He graduated from Seaford Senior High School in 2007 and went on to attend the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He graduated from Mary Washington in 2011 with a bachelors of arts in Political Science.

After college, Mr. DeMott returned to Delaware and attended the Delaware Law School of Widener University. While in law school, Mr. DeMott externed for the Honorable Mary Pat Thynge of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. He also volunteered as a law clerk for the Delaware Office of the Public Defender. After graduating with honors from the Delaware Law School in 2014, Mr. DeMott served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable T. Henley Graves of the Superior Court of the State of Delaware. During that time, he researched complex civil and criminal law issues and assisted Judge Graves in drafting several judicial opinions. The judicial opinions addressed issues ranging from employment discrimination to post-conviction relief.

Mr. DeMott was admitted to the Bar of the State of Delaware in December 2014. He is an associate at the law firm Casarino Christman Shalk Ransom & Doss, P.A. where he specializes in civil litigation defense. Mr. DeMott is also an active member in the Rodney Inn of Court and the Defense Counsel of Delaware. He is a founding member of Revitalize Delaware and is a board member of Rodney Street Tennis & Tutoring Association. In 2018, Mr. DeMott is running for the Leukemia & Lymphomia Society’s Man of the Year fundraising competition.
