Wendell Covell Clinical Director – Fellowship Program, JFS Delaware

Wendell Covell was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. After receiving his Bachelor's Degree at Cazenovia College and his Master's Degree in Social Work at Syracuse University, he spent the first 12 years of his career growing his expertise in family systems and his role in non-profit leadership.

In the early months of the Covid-19 pandemic, he and his family relocated to Wilmington, DE to begin a new chapter in their lives. Wendell currently serves as the Clinical Director for the JFS Fellowship program and is the point person for community-based projects throughout the state of Delaware. In this role, he is responsible for creating and growing partnerships, finding gaps in the community that fit JFS Delaware’s service array, and overseeing the growth and development of a cohort of pre-licensed clinicians. In addition to his full-time job, he serves as an international consultant and trainer for the Functional Family Therapy model.

Wendell has fallen in love with Delaware and has successfully convinced both family and friends to move into the region.
